Day 287: Have you been framed? Breathe through the storm

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where some people who clearly dislike you are attempting to frame you, to use you as a scapegoat for something you had nothing to do with? Generally being in the "wrong place at the wrong time" where someone attacked you in someway.

If you have or if you haven't experienced this is irrelevant really, because this blog will assist you if this kind of situation arises in your life in the future from here.

I have had people try to frame me for something I didn't do more then a few times in my life and this past weekend it happened again - and it is only from what I have learnt in my life about the mind and who we really are as life, that has assisted me massively in all events like this I have ever had to face.

Now I wont go into the details of this recent event, but long story short a small group of people in a setting of around 50 people were claiming I had done something which me and my single friend knew I did not.

They started to attack me with verbal slurs, slander and accusations - this group of men were very clearly drunk, also me and my friend believe this attack was racially motivated, as I was the only person of colour in this location, and this small group in this location were staring at me with aggression from the moment I walked in.

Now my friend was defending me from the moment the situation arose, while I directly was speaking to everybody that was present stating my clear innocence, with a focus on the security and owners of the establishment - everybody else was simply standing and watching, mainly all too scared to offer any feedback or support for either side of the situation.

Also there seemed to be an element of jealousy because one or two women were also showing interest towards me at one point in this establishment, which the men in this small group did not like - so it was a jealous, racial attack of sorts, where this small group was trying to set me up as the scapegoat for the crime that one of the men in this small group likely commited.

Then shortly after law enforcement officers arrived at the scene, a lot more then made logical sense to me as the owners of the location were concerned that perhaps the accusations about me were true, without even acknowledging mine and my friends viewpoint

To be fair the establishments owners/ security and the officers on the scene of course have to follow protocol in these situations regardless of their validity or lack there of - yet me and my friend were still dismayed and confused that the officers on the scene blindly then proceeded to arrest me on grounds of suspicion alone, with no evidence apart from the word of a small group of drunk ignorant people -

I did not resist this arrest even for a moment despite me and my friend finding the situation laughably stupid and unfair how it was being painted that I was considered guilty until proven innocent instead of the other way around, while none in this group attacking me were arrested as the officers at the scene could not initially see the game they were playing.

Then on the way to the station with my hands cuffed, I could see the cogs of logic start to twig in these officers minds as I continued to calmly state my case - my mind has been geared to be naturally investigatory in any situation and I have become adept at showing people the results of a clear, concise investigation.

These officers were already realising that what I was saying made sense and that I am the type of character that would admit it if I had done what was suggested - I always have taken responsibility for my actions for anything I have done in my life be that beneficial or not, because I have know for a long time that running from reality only compounds the issue.

Then once we arrived at the Police station, the ensuing questions, searches, administration and being stuck in a cell for a period of time began to unfold.

Now at various points in this event from start to finish of course some anger was bubbling up at certain points, but the whole time this is all happening how am I keeping myself calm? How am I remaining calm in this stormy situation? Breathing.

Breathing and the knowledge that the truth of my innocence would be confirmed once a true detective gets onto the case, despite these spiteful humans manipulative and for a few hours effective attempt to frame me for something that I did not do.

As I sat in my cell, which had nothing but a sink, a toilet, a very hard bed and a Qiblah sign which despite me not being religious is standard procedures for many prison cells now (due to the increase of Muslim arrests in the UK) - I continued to breathe through the angry storms that were coming up at various points through this ordeal, angry at those that orchestrated this situation - when the anger swelled I would grit my teeth and frown while staring at one spot on the wall.

Also a wondering of how long they would keep me detained? Also some annoyance thinking of the inconvenience of this and its knock on effects on my schedule for the rest of the night/next day etc. Wondering how long it would be until some real investigative work would start and my innocence would be confirmed - I continued to breathe, maintaining my stability within and as breathe through these storms. No emotional kicking and screaming as I heard some others in different cells doing - I even slept for a few hours and ate some food that was given to me knowing that it was a matter of time until reality was confirmed.

The police took the case seriously and after a few more hours a genuinely skilful detective did take the lead, who then proceeded to confirm my innocence after thorough and effective investigation - this detective apologised to me, as did the majority of officers at the station and then they released me from imprisonment.

The case will continue for others though, and I am sure the true perpetrators of these crimes will be brought to justice - which from my viewpoint it will end up being someone in the group who accused me - their attempt to use me as a scapegoat, to deceive and pervert the course of justice has failed.

This experience here as I walked out of the Police station was one of vindication and justice prevailing in the face of a deceitful storm that was created to try to destroy me - just like the storm of thoughts one has in the mind in these situations, a storm of thoughts, feelings and emotions that will destroy you if you let them, so do not allow them too.

In the calm before the storm and during the event one must always breathe through the storm, literally being the calm in the storm, being in this world not of it, maintaining a signature of common sense and responsibility for yourself, no matter the situation, moving from a clear starting point here, where solutions that are best for all life emerge.

When you are innocent, you are innocent  - you have nothing to fear, nothing to fear from people trying to use framing tactics to make you seem like a bad person in some way.

We can all find ourselves in the "wrong place at the wrong time" at points in life, as I did with this recent event - but how you respond to these situations is what will make or break you.

Always breathe through the storm HERE, no matter how volatile it is - as with anything in life, because it is only when we are stable as breathe HERE that we can navigate through the storm effectively.

Thanks for reading and join me next time in my journey to life.
